Looking east... some showers in distance, but it's sunny where I am.
Today dawned mostly clear and cold. 32 this morning at 7am, and reached about 50 at times. Sure didn't feel like it. Windy and cold, and the minute the sun went behind a cloud, it dropped about 15 degrees. We had off and on snow flurries or sleet all day. This is April, and that's what I expect! With New Mexico having about 300 sunny days a year, we take notice when there are clouds. Today, it just couldn't make up it's mind. Cloudy, clear, snowy, dry. Only enough moisture towet down the dust a little.
Looking west/northwest.
These aspen show no hint of any buds yet. I will check back in about a week.
A little closer to the ground. This is an Abert Squirrel, affectionately known around
here as a "Squabbit", because of his funny long ears. These are big squirrels, about the size of a cat.
ah, true love. I'm thinking I should try to document all the tree carvings around here, new and old. Wouldn't that make a cool coffee table book?
